Artwork from the official poster from Churchill Down's Kentucky Derby. Ralph made it back to the Derby in 2019 to revisit the memories from his inaugural visit for Scanlan's Magazine with Hunter S. Thompson in 1970.

This became the start of a longtime friendship between Hunter and Ralph. The Kentucky Derby article from Scanlan's was what brought Ralph Steadman to the US for his first time to work with Hunter. Hunter S. Thompson and Ralph Steadman collaborated on works like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail, The Curse of Lono, The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved and numerous other high impact classics.  

The print is authentically stamped and certified by the Ralph Steadman team. It's a museum quality un-signed print that's custom printed with lightfast pigment inks on beautiful 315gsm acid free cotton rag paper with a natural white base.
